Karolyn McGovern

Karolyn is our Ecology & Biology Interpretation Advisor. She specializes in herpetology: the study of reptiles and amphibians. She provides our team with up-to-date knowledge, information and facts about the wildlife found at Petrie Island Grand-Maître Ecological Reserve and around our local rivers.
Karolyn is currently completing a master's degree investigating the recovery of frog communities in the Sudbury area following the 1970s acid rain crisis. Prior to this and as part of her undergrad, she studied the effects of climate change on Ontario turtle reproduction.
